shop with a purpose: necklace auction

Holiday shopping is stressful, right? What to buy? Who to buy for? How much to spend?

I’m thrilled to share an absolutely lovely way you can get some holiday shopping done + do some good, too. My friend Natalie has been a guest here for National Adoption Month, sharing her heart + journey to adopting twin boys. (You can read about her + her husband Dan’s sweet story here.) Today, Natalie is sharing an exciting way you can shop with a purpose — and you can do it all via Facebook, while you snuggle into a blanket on the couch. Enjoy!

I connected with Kate nearly four years ago while I was volunteering at an orphanage in Taiwan. She was adopting a sweet little one from another Taiwan orphanage.

Besides being a busy momma, Kate makes gorgeous necklaces for her shop, The Adopt Shoppe. She has graciously offered us the opportunity to auction off 20 of her necklaces!

All money we raise will go directly to the next agency payment for our adoption of twin toddlers from Central Africa.

Here are just a few of the necklaces:

Come see the others! Bidding is open on our Facebook page, Get Them Here: The Adopt Shoppe Auction.

The auction is open from now until 10p EST this Sunday, November 17. Detailed instructions on how to bid can be found here on the page.

Kayla has so graciously offered her blog as a platform for us to share our story and our needs. Besides the necklace auction, we’re rolling out some other fundraising projects in the next two months, and we’d love to tell you about them as they come up. You can get to know us more here!

About Kayla

I'm a full-time journalist turned work-at-home writer. I'm hitched to a shaggy-haired pastor and we're smitten with two wild + crazy boys: Joseph (3), who joined our family via international adoption, and Asher (1), who came the old-fashioned way. I drink strong coffee, I like pretty things, and I believe there's beauty in the broken. I hope Many Sparrows will encourage you to find worth and live a story worth sharing. When I’m not changing diapers and sweeping Cheerios, I’m tickling the ivory keys of my old school MacBook as a freelance writer and editor. And when I’m not doing that, I’m sneaking into the living room in the wee hours of the night to blog about all of the things. (Primarily faith, family, style, adoption, design, and happy thoughts.)
