big news and diaper duty

(I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of MomCentral Consulting for Huggies. I received product samples to facilitate my review and to thank me for my participation.)

I have big news — Asher is walking! (When he has the need for speed, he still stops and drops, but for the most part, my baby is walking now.)

It’s pretty stinkin’ adorable to see his waddle-and-toddle swagger.

His first birthday seemed to infuse extra energy into our little guy. He’s determined and curious and wants to explore and keep up with his big brother.

Asher is so on-the-go these days, and he gets pretty sad (and squirmy) when we have to stop the fun and change his diaper. With all his wiggles, I feel like I’ve been pulling out wrestling moves to actually get his diaper on, let alone secured. After a cacophony of kicking and screaming, we then have to attempt to put the clothes back on. It’s an ordeal and friends — this is why we’re always late

I was pretty excited when I was contacted about trying Huggies Little Movers Slip-On diapers, which are made with standers and new walkers in mind.

The diapers slide on, which means I can easily change him while he’s standing. I was worried that the diapers wouldn’t being tight enough, but the sides are stretchy and snug, eliminating the fear of the all-terrible blowout.

They fit securely on his little bum, and he totally pulls them off, right?

When he’s ready for a change, I can either slide back off or tug the side tabs like a traditional diaper.

I was a little dubious, but I’ve been pretty impressed with the absorbency, too. Huggies calls it their “Leak Lock System,” and I love that Asher is dry and is rash-free when I change him. (I haven’t experienced that with all diaper brands we’ve tried!)

These diapers are super helpful for us mamas of little wiggle worms. Diaper time can still be a battle here, but these diapers have helped us avoid all-out wars.
