31 days of living free

Living Free Hot Air Balloon Many Sparrows Blog

What does it mean to be a woman who is happening?

I want to live on purpose. I want to roll up my sleeves and build when God says go, and I want to dwell in his presence when he says be still.

I know I’m not the only one who feels this way. And I just wonder. I just wonder what would happen if we threw off what hinders us and truly ran our races with perseverance.

What would happen if we were living free?

We’re young mamas and empty nesters. We’re professionals and we’re students. We’re women with real frustrations and real doubts and real fears. And we are women with real passions and real talents and real gifts.

What does it take to step onto the waves? What does it take to stumble off shore because there’s an ocean of life waiting for us? What does it take to live fueled by strength that doesn’t come from ourselves?

What would happen if we were living free?

For the next 31 days, I want to get real and I want to talk about it all. I want to use this little space to unpack what it might look like if we lived like the women we’ve been created to be. What if all the boxes we thought we were meant to fill were holding us back from something greater? What if we shared our stories and in the process, we realized that our lives mean more than we can imagine?

I’ll be splitting the series into four weeks:

  1. Living Free in Your Home
  2. Living Free in Your Work
  3. Living Free in Your Church
  4. Living Free in Your Heart

As women, we believe so many lies about ourselves. We carry around doubt and guilt and shame and we forget that we are beloved new creations, made to be more than we can even fathom.

I want to use this time and space to share stories of imperfectly beautiful women who have counted it all as lost and have lived stories of what it looks like to dwell in truth and to proclaim freedom in Christ.

Whatever your story, I’m thankful for you. And I think God wants to take your life, and mine, and turn things upside down in the best of ways for his glory and for his Kingdom.

What would happen if we dared to live free?

This is the first of 31 daily posts of living free. Living freely is something we do momentarily, but to fully live free? That’s a transformation — a total change not only in what we’re like, but in who we are. You can find all the 31 Days of Living Free posts here
